  • LEAD PLANNING ENGINEER (ONSHORE) >

    Supplying Asset Integrity and Performance Management services, Asset Integrity Group cover the full asset lifecycle through Green, Brown to Grey Field™. Using a risk based decision process and application of certified scientific modelling, results are provided so that assets can operate safely, reliably, and profitably.

     

    Asset Integrity Group are currently looking to bolster the team with an experienced Lead Planning Engineer on a permanent basis in Aberdeen, UK.

     

    Work Location: Aberdeen, UK

     

    Type of Assignment: Permanent. Contract may be considered.

     

    Work Schedule: 5 days a week based on 8 hours per day

     

    Start Date: ASAP

     

    Medical Insurance: Provided (permanent only)

     

    Experience Requirements:

     

    • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in project planning & control, experience in planning and control of multi-project/ portfolio are desirable.
    • Experienced in change management process, including carrying out time impact analysis during all phases of the project.
    • Hands on experience with planning and scheduling software packages, such as Primavera P6, P6 Analytics, Primavera Risk Analysis, MS Project, MS Office, SAP and MAXIMO etc.

     

    Job Role & Responsibilities:

     

    • Responsible for the project planning decisions associated with the project scope and updating of plans on weekly basis.
    • Provide project planning and control services to the projects/ portfolio, including input on project control procedures, by contributing to the implementation of the system in coordination with the Operations & Project Manager. Participating in and supporting processing Variations, Change Requests & Claims.
    • Develop and maintain the Project Master Plan (90 Day Plan) and individual Project Plans, including milestone & detailed schedules, by liaising with respective Project Managers/ Leads and integrated services to meet project/portfolio goals
    • Monitor and report schedule forecasting and trending of project plans and validate progress reports and progress, including for invoice validation to support invoice processing and control during the scope of the project.
    • Participate in and support Stage Gate Approval, Project Execution Plan, Risk Management, Change Management, Commissioning and Handover processes/procedures, Claim Management and related activities to ensure successful execution and timely completion of the project scope.
    • Identifies/ highlights planning clashes or interfaces and works with the team to resolve issues.
    • Produces Individual and 90 Day Project Plans using specialist planning software Primavera.
    • Provide individual Project & 90 Day Resource Forecasts, to assist with planning of resources.
    • Experience in the application of Earned Value Management is essential, if not then will not be considered for the position.
    • Attends planning, engineering and operations meetings.
    • Support tendering activities.
    • Reviews outstanding jobs/ work scopes and keeps line manager fully appraised with any issues.
    • Liaises with engineering/ operations personnel to ensure availability of materials and vendors to meet plan dates.
    • May be required to visit offshore.

     

    Additional Qualification:

    Membership of a recognized professional engineering association/ institution. APM/ PMP certification would be advantageous.

     

    Educational Background:

    HND in an Engineering discipline from a recognized University; higher degree would be advantageous.
